Bali is the cultural home of padel in Indonesia, with standout clubs, a strong social scene and tournaments that make playing part of the holiday. Choose your base around what you want beyond the court: Canggu for surf and cafés, Uluwatu for beaches and dramatic cliffs, or time in Ubud for art and rice terraces. Traffic can make crossing the island slow, so staying near your chosen clubs pays off.
Beyond Bali, Lombok is emerging with high-end clubs. Jakarta has a substantial playing scene but less holiday appeal, while padel is reaching even the remote shores of Sumba.
Practical answers on booking, availability, playing levels and travelling to Indonesia.
Bali is our first choice for its combination of clubs, coaching, competitive games, and holiday appeal. Canggu and Uluwatu offer different settings, so choose around your preferred clubs and activities. Lombok is an emerging alternative, while Jakarta is better suited to including padel in a city visit.
For Bali, aim for the dry season, broadly April to October, to combine outdoor padel with beach time and exploring. Rainy-season trips can still work, particularly with covered courts. Weather patterns vary across Indonesia, so check your destination rather than applying Bali’s seasons everywhere.
Options range from intensive coaching camps and hosted tournaments to social retreats, wellness breaks, and luxury holidays with occasional sessions. You can travel solo, as a couple or with a group. Bali suits both recreational holidays and trips built around demanding coaching and competitive match play.
Yes. You can build introductory coaching into a holiday or choose a beginner-friendly camp. Bali also offers a strong scene for advanced players looking for challenging matches and tournaments. Check the programme’s level and how groups are matched before choosing your trip.
Yes. Hosted camps and retreats can be a good way to meet other players, while bespoke trips can combine private coaching with arranged games. Tell the organiser your level and that you’re travelling alone so they can recommend suitable sessions and explain any single supplements.
Budget from around US$200 per night as a starting point for a holiday combining accommodation and padel. Your hotel, season, and amount of coaching will shape the total. Luxury resorts and intensive programmes cost more, while simpler stays with occasional sessions may cost less.
Packages may include accommodation, coaching, court time and organised matches. Some add airport transfers, meals, recovery treatments, wellness sessions or excursions. Others cover the padel programme only. Compare each listing’s included and not included sections to understand what the price covers.
Choose a trip and send an enquiry through its listing. Share your preferred dates, group size, playing level, and any questions. We pass your enquiry to the organiser, who will contact you to discuss availability, confirm the arrangements, and explain how to book.
